About Anthony
Artmaking has always been central to Anthony’s life. He has lived and exhibited in many places, including Johannesburg, Salzburg, Wellington and Perth and
currently lives and paints near Fremantle in Western Australia. His early exploration with ink wash and tempera later developed into experimenting with many different mediums, and he enjoys painting with gouache and ink or pastels with oil paint, as well as playing with Japanese handmade papers in collage. Colour and soul are key words describing his art – the culmination of a search for poetic forms and themes that embody the ideal of beauty and soul life.
Anthony has had an interest in Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy and has taught art in Waldorf schools, state schools, correctional services and in programs helping recovering addicts.
He has also experienced Steiner education as a parent, guiding his two lovely daughters through the education.
