Margaret River Landscapes

These paintings have been inspired by a wide area around the town of Margaret River in the southwest of Western Australia, consisting of forest, woodland, vineyards and paddocks. I have immersed myself in its unfolding beauty by carefully exploring the rich and diverse plant, animal and birdlife. 

I've spent many hours in solitude living and dreaming into this landscape, paying attention to its unique character, and feeling challenged by how to capture this subject. I feel a sense of gratitude that I've found a way to marry the theme and techniques that feel authentic for me.
